Mazda New CX-3 protects you with an impressive suite of advanced i-ACTIVSENSE safety technologies. These intelligent active safety systems are designed to help you recognise potential hazards, avoid collisions and minimise the severity of accidents when they can't be avoided. Using radar, infrared laser, cameras, and driver warnings, i-ACTIVSENSE keeps a careful eye out for you. Features available vary by model.

Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM)

By scanning external mirrors' blind spots, this innovation warns of any unseen vehicles to help you avoid making hazardous lane changes. An LED icon on the relevant mirror is accompanied by warning beeper. GSX and Limited models only.

Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)

Assists you when you’re reversing from a parking space, warning if a car is approaching from either side of your vehicle. The LED icon on both mirrors is accompanied by beeping alert. GSX and Limited models.

Parking Sensors (Rear)

Sensors at the  rear sound audible warnings to make parking easier, and help avoid parking bumps or scratches. GSX and Limited models.

Reversing Camera

By giving you a clear view of what's behind you via a colour display, both reversing and parking are made safer and easier. Standard on all models.

Advanced Smart City Brake Support – Forward/Reverse (ASCBS-F/R)

Helps prevent, or lessen, low-speed impacts. Now with pedestrian detection, ASCBS-F monitors the vehicle in front to assess the possibility of a collision at forward speeds of 4-80km/h. If the system detects a high risk of impact, it issues visual and audible warnings and primes the brakes for faster response should the driver brake. If the driver does not brake, the brakes are applied automatically. SCBS also works in reverse at speeds of 2-8km/h.

G-Vectoring Control

Mazda continuously strives to improve the connection between vehicle and driver, so that the vehicle responds faithfully to driver inputs as if it were an extension of the driver’s own body. We refer to this special connection as “Jinba Ittai”, which means “horse and rider as one”.

This ongoing pursuit has led to the development of G-Vectoring Control (GVC); a world-first Mazda technology that integrates the vehicle’s SKYACTIV engine and SKYACTIV chassis, to provide precise and natural vehicles dynamics.

GVC precisely adjusts engine torque, in response to steering inputs, to manage lateral and longitudinal G-forces in a unified and smooth manner, which optimises the vertical loading of each tyre.

The result is natural, precise handling in line with the driver’s intentions. There is less need for steering corrections and more comfort for every occupant.
